After recently being awarded an Excellence Award by The British Tea Guild, The River Bar and Restaurant at The Lowry Hotel is launching a new Afternoon Tea updating some of our classic dishes.

Afternoon Tea in The River Bar and Restaurant provides the perfect experience, whether you need respite from a busy day shopping, celebrating a special occasion or just want to treat yourself. Afternoon Tea is served between 2.15pm and 4.00pm throughout the week; 12:00 noon and 4.00pm on Saturday and between 3.15pm and 5.00pm on Sunday in the contemporary yet classic River Bar and Restaurant

Earl Grey
Refreshing and sweet, with lifted citrus charm freshening the structured tenacity of the Ceylon leaf. A perfectly focussed classic.

Morning Blend
A comforting and full breakfast classic, with rich malty sweetness and vivid ruby coloured infusion.

Afternoon Blend
Balanced and full: lots of light, graceful and complex top notes followed by a pungent, malty finish. Refreshing and fortifying.

Organic Downy Tip Green Mao Jian Tea
Simply a lovely, clean tea that seems to suit all moods, occasions and personalities picked on remote peaks in Zhejiang Province, where for over 1000 years China's foremost green teas have grown.

Organic Whole Chamomile Flowers
Bright, full, mellow floral depths with soft, refreshingly bitter vegetal complexities in the finish. Sweet yet austere – the definitive chamomile combination.

Blackcurrant and Hibiscus Infusion
Vivid, intense and lively, with a rich spectrum of berry fruits, bright supporting acidity and a sweet, perfumed finish, refreshing and full of charm.

Whole Peppermint Leaf
Insistent, deep and full mint flavours with an almost oily mid palate, subsiding cleanly towards an intensely perfumed finish.

The Lowry Hotel has an onsite car park and offers valet parking. For all visits during the day there will be a charge of 8 pounds per car and for all overnight stays a charge of 15 pounds will be applicable.

On - site parking at The Lowry Hotel is subject to availability and we reserve the right to allocate spaces for overnight residents of The Lowry Hotel.
