A warm welcome to The Lowry Hotel in the heart of Manchester from me, Keith Bewick, Head Concierge at the hotel, and my team.

The Lowry Hotel is Manchester's only five-star hotel. It is set on a peaceful riverside piazza in the heart of the city, alongside the River Irwell and just a short walk from the city's main shopping, entertainment and business areas. The Lowry Hotel's impressive modern design and superb standards make this hotel a must for anyone planning a business trip or weekend-break in Manchester.

Whilst you are staying in Manchester, I hope that you find time to explore and enjoy one of the 'hottest' cities in the UK. Explore Manchester's award-winning museums and galleries, shop in up-market department stores and designer-label boutiques, or enjoy an evening at one of Manchester's many theatres.

The Bridgewater Concert Hall is a must, as is The Lowry (galleries and theatres), or perhaps a trip to the world-famous 'theatre of dreams' - Old Trafford - home to Manchester United Football Club. Then relax in one of the many café-bars and restaurants before visiting the energetic clubs and bars for which Manchester is renowned.

From 1 April 2007 all guests will be able to use PlayStation® Portables free of charge whilst staying at The Lowry Hotel. PSP is a multimedia portable entertainment device, which can be used for playing 3D games, full-length movies, music, viewing photos and surfing the World Wide Web. In addition, PSP features wireless (WLAN) capabilities for multiplayer gameplay as well as an in-built browser for accessing content downloads. A range of PSP content will be made available to all our guests.

The Lowry Hotel benefits from an onsite car park, however places are limited and are subject to availability.
