River Restaurant Launches British Classics Menu

New Executive Chef Eyck Zimmer is introducing the first ever Chef's British Classics Menu to the River Restaurant at The Lowry Hotel. Using all fresh produce and ingredients from the North West Eyck is launching the Chef's British Classics Menu that is created using all fresh produce and ingredients from the UK.

The British Classics Menu, which includes four courses for £38.00, offers the very best in regional and seasonal ingredients to give diners a true taste of Britain at its best. With a beautifully balanced combination of traditional but contemporary flavours and tastes, the generous four-course menu represents British cooking at its very best.

Minted pea soup with pear and lobster

Roast Cornish scallops studded with black pudding and cider

Tournedos of Aberdeen Angus with horseradish mash and shallots jus

Bread and Butter pudding with spiced raisin syrup

The Great British Classics Menu will be available alongside the a la carte River Restaurant menu during Autumn 2005.
