 We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Content Creator and Social Media Assistant. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in curating captivating content and driving engagement across various social media platforms to elevate brand awareness and achieve company objectives. 

Your primary focus will be on generating high levels of customer engagement, driving website traffic from social media channels, and contributing to revenue growth through innovative content creation and trend-led concepts. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the Marketing Executive and the Director of PR & Marketing to align your efforts with the overall marketing strategy and plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise social media scheduling platforms such as SocialPilot to plan and publish content effectively.
  • Employ digital design skills and knowledge of Adobe Suite to develop visually appealing brand content.

  • Leverage video editing tools and software to produce compelling content.
  • Collaborate with different departments across the hotels to ensure content aligns with brand messaging and objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in social media marketing to inform content strategy.
  • Assist in maintaining a customer-centric approach in content creation and engagement strategies.
  • Utilise hospitality experience and understanding of customer-oriented businesses to tailor content effectively.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, or Public Relations preferred OR Minimum of 1 year of experience in a social media/content role.
  • Proficient in using social media scheduling platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite for digital design and content creation.
  • Experience or education in social media marketing with a proven track record of success.
  • Familiarity with video editing tools and software.
  • Hospitality experience is desirable but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate work consistently.

Preferred Experience:

Casual F&B Assistant

As part of the food and beverage team you will be working with a British Classic Menu that it is influenced by locally sourced produce. As a Food and Beverage Assistant you will work in the River Restaurant, Lowry Lounge and Bar and Room Service department for The Lowry Hotel. The River Restaurant has been commended with 2 AA rosettes and aims to provide contemporary surroundings with fine dining in a relaxed setting. Live entertainment is provided most evenings and during Sunday lunch.

The role involves greeting and seating guests, taking orders, advising on menu choices, delivering and presenting food and beverages in the restaurant, bar and room service departments, receiving payments and delivering a high level of personalised and professional service amongst other duties. You will be part of a team of 35 working together to ensure all guests receive the highest level of service delivery and following the hotel standards.

The ideal candidate will preferably have previous food and beverage experience, excellent customer care and social skills, be able to work using their own initiative and the ability to work as part of a dynamic team.

The role is on a casual basis and will also involve working at weekends and may involve early starts and late finishes.

Hotel Receptionist (Lobby Ambassador)

Working in the Lobby and Reception, this guest-facing role involves working as part of the Front of House team, ensuring all guests of the hotel receive professional individual service throughout their journey through the hotel. 

The role involves receiving, registering and rooming guests on arrival to the hotel and attending to all their requests, including cashiering requirements throughout their stay and ensuring a good impression remains as the guest departs. The role involves the highest standard of guest care and a personalised, professional service at all times. The front of house team are the first point of contact for all guest needs and challenges. 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, and excellent guest care and social skills, be standards driven, and the ability to use their own initiative and work as part of a dynamic team. Own clean driving licence is preferred and knowledge of Opera is preferred but not required - full training will be provided. 

The hours of work are on a shift basis including weekends, early starts and late finishes.

Part-time Spa Therapist

Working as part of a team and reporting to the Spa Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include conducting all spa treatments to the highest standard whilst ensuring guest comfort and welfare at all times. You will also have to develop a good understanding of all treatments and products enabling you to actively encourage sales and inform clients about treatments.

The ideal candidate will have excellent guest care skills, be fully trained (NVQ Level 2 and 3) and will have previous experience of working as a therapist. Previous working knowledge of Elemis products and treatments is desirable however not essential. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills and have a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude.

Executive Sous Chef

As second in command of the entire kitchen team with chefs in both the main kitchen and the banqueting kitchen you will be working with a British Classic Menu that it is influenced by locally sourced produce. As Executive Sous Chef you will be responsible for providing 2 AA Rosette standard food for The River Restaurant, Lowry Lounge and Bar, The Terrace, Room Service department and the conference and function rooms for The Lowry Hotel. The River Restaurant has been commended with 2 AA rosettes and aims to provide contemporary surroundings with fine dining in a relaxed setting.


 To support the Executive Chef in the preparation of food budgets and to achieve their requirements with respect to food sales, average spend, profit percentages and operating expenses. You will focus on team management, engagement and development whilst ensuring all food hygiene standards are consistently met. 

You will be involved in menu design, costing , training and execution so much possess comprehensive knowledge and creativity. 
The Executive sous chef will support the Executive chef in overall kitchen management including stock take, food controls and storage and cleanliness .

This role will deputize in the absence of the Executive chef and will include attendance at daily/weekly meetings, monitoring budgets, and attending the profit and loss review. 

The ideal candidate will possess a professional approach and demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You must have excellent organisational skills and previous experience of setting and managing budgets is also essential.
