Children travel free with a paying adult on the East Lancashire Railway this February.
The line runs for 12 miles through scenic Lancastrian Landscapes, from beautiful rural panoramas and postcard pretty villages to bustling Victorian towns and cotton mill dotted horizons. Each station offers something unique, from historical Heywood to relaxing Rawtenstall, scenic Summerseat and bustling Bury.

Not Quite Light Weekend 2019 28/02/19 – 31/03/19

A weekend of immersive art, debate, architecture and musical features – with details to be announced. Tickets will be on sale from February 2019.
The 2019 instalment follows on from Not Quite Light Weekend 2018, which took place last May, in venues around Salford. Not Quite Light is the project of photographer and writer Simon Buckley, who frequently takes pictures of the cityscapes of Salford and Manchester in the hours when it is not quite light.
Maggie's Costume Ball 30/03/2019
Join us at The North West's most glamorous costume ball.
The Maggie's Costume Ball will return to The Lowry Hotel for its third year, and we would like you to join us in recreating history at this fabulous event. The money raised will go towards The Maggie's Cancer Centres who provide essential support to patients and families affected by cancer.
For the event we highly encourage guests to don historical costume.
Costumes can be hired from The Royal Exchange Theatre for £45 which includes all accessories and shoes.
