Manchester Science Festival

From the 21st – 30th October, the Manchester Science Festival is providing a half-term that’s packed with heaps of entertaining activities to take part in. From virtual experiences to new ways of learning, there are venues all over the city that are taking part in hosting different scientific adventures. Rhythmic robots are just one of many big exhibitions taking place this year and The Lowry Hotel are just a short walk from all the excitement.

Spookfest at The Trafford Centre

Just a 25-minute drive from The Lowry Hotel is Spookfest which is back and bigger than ever at The Trafford Centre. From special film screenings to circus performances and seasonal-themed food – this event promises to keep everyone happy. Gandey’s circus arrives with a Halloween Spooktacular Big Top Show, keep your eyes out for the skeletons and amazing circus artistes. The funfair comes with it! Take a ride on the ghoulish ghost train or take a stroll through the haunted house. There’ll be costume characters, face painting and lots of treats to keep the little ghouls entertained!

The Lion King is running from October 27th at the Manchester Palace Theatre. This extraordinary award-winning musical is back in Manchester, described as a ‘gasp-inducing spectacle,’ this unmissable show is a wonderful half - term treat for everyone. 

The Tiger Who Came to Tea is live on stage at The Lowry. This musical play is based on the beloved children’s book of the same name. This delightful family show is the perfect way to let your children’s imagination run wild as their favourite story comes to life. With sing-a-longs, lots of magic and happy surprises, this is perfect for the whole family.
